Art and engineering: a passion that becomes method
The success of Frascold has its roots in the founder, Giuseppe Fraschini, who in 1936 established the first workshop "Giuseppe Fraschini e figlio s.n.c." in Milan together with his father Carlo Fraschini, combining entrepreneurial vision with a deep sensitivity for art, understood as the pursuit of balance, proportion and quality. This cultural foundation has supported the development of the Company over time, helping to guide its design approach and manufacturing excellence.
With the generational transition, this mindset evolved into an even more structured industrial vision. Indeed, it was Innocente Fraschini who, between the 1970s and 1980s, promoted the introduction of semi-hermetic compressors and the strengthening of R&D laboratories, marking a decisive turning point in the Company’s growth path.
From a small artisan business to today’s global presence, Frascold has consolidated its position through a clear, well-defined industrial strategy: designing and manufacturing reliable, high-performance compressors capable of interpreting the evolution of the HVAC&R sector. Specialist expertise, manufacturing capability and international coverage have progressively strengthened the Company's role as a trusted partner for OEMs and operators worldwide. It is within this continuous dialogue between manufacturing tradition and technological development that Frascold's manufacturing heritage is reinforced, capable of translating know-how into progress and advanced solutions, supporting ongoing growth.

With "90 Years of Pulsing Innovation”, Frascold deliberately introduces a neologism that combines vital energy and innovation. Innovation, often perceived as an abstract concept, is associated with something pulsing, alive, and dynamic: a continuous movement that runs through products, processes and organisation. “Pulsing” evokes rhythm and finds its natural expression in the function of the compressor itself, which has always played a central role in HVAC&R systems to ensure efficiency, operational continuity and reliability. From the first open-type compressors to the current semi-hermetic reciprocating and screw models, to solutions for natural refrigerants such as CO2 and R290 and ATEX-certified applications, Frascold has innovated its solutions without altering their technical essence, adopting design choices that have made sustainability a core principle.
Today, laboratories and testing areas represent the heart of the development process: from CO₂ testing to dedicated R290 and ATEX test benches, every solution undergoes rigorous performance, safety and reliability checks. Innovation has involved not only the product, but also manufacturing processes. The introduction of Lean Manufacturing principles has optimised workflows, reduced waste and ensured consistent quality at every stage, reinforcing an industrial model in which low environmental impact, efficiency and precision operate in synergy.
