CX Air - ATEX series

With an internationally recognized ATEX certification, the CX Air series has met high standards for quality and safety. These units feature compact screw compressors, which are excellent for various types of use. Developed by Frascold after exhaustive design and testing to discern the perfect blend of high-quality components, the CX Air Series is engineered using cutting-edge technology in our state-of-the-art facilities. The series features excellent fluid dynamics, ultimate reliability, and whisper-quiet operation. The construction and safety features built into these compressors allow them to be used with hydrocarbons and in areas that are classified as being at risk of explosion (Zone 2).

Of note, the capacity control that’s produced through the hydraulic movement of the slide valve helps provide energy efficiency under any load. The models in the series can also function with an economizer and/or external inverter, to supply even greater adaptability, efficiency, and energy savings.

Our very own 3-stage oil separation system supports minimum oil carryover towards the system which helps to maintain a consistent level of optimal lubrication and a high degree of operating efficiency.

Our design team developed an advanced 3-stage oil separation system to provide an enhanced level of protection and the perfect amount of consistent lubrication to all the compressor’s moving parts. This helps minimize leaks and increase performance over time.

Greater Energy Efficiency

With so many possible configurations in regards to design requirements (COP/EER) and seasonal requirements (ESEER/IPLV), these units are some of the most energy-efficient around. This is achieved due to the optimized fluid dynamics our team is able to deliver from having the most cutting-edge design and manufacturing technologies available today.

Ability to Couple with an Inverter

These units have an external Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to help provide a significant boost to the overall efficiency under partial loads for each and every CX Air compact screw compressor we produce.

Reduction in Noise

You’ll notice right away just how quiet these units are and how the vibrations are compared to traditional compressors. We’re able to achieve this benefit thanks to the advanced design of the rotors and the internal fluid dynamics within the compressors.

Better Risk Management

The ATEX-certified CX Air Series of compressors is all about risk management with simplified risk analysis able to be done, specific to your project needs. This contributes to a safer design in the construction and installation phases, and especially in during operations. Compressors in the series are ATEX-certified to be used in “Category 3” (Zone 2 - areas classified as potentially explosive) and “G” (which are those areas that are potentially explosive due to gasses being present).
