FVR SERIES - MT - ATEX

Meeting the high standards for ATEX certification, the FVR series of semi-hermetic screw compressors for medium temperatures were borne out of an intense effort by the Frascold R&D team. Through extensive design and product testing phases, our team was able to produce a solution that keeps pace with the ever-increasing technological needs of refrigeration and cooling today. The unique construction and safety features built into these compressors allow them to be safely used with hydrocarbons and in areas classified as being at risk of explosion (Zone 2).

The FVR MT ATEX series is also made to be Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)-compatible, which allows for greater flexibility and efficiency in operation. These units are engineered to have a lower starting current compared to other compressors on the market, which serves to reduce the mechanical stresses put on internal components.

As true plug-and-play solutions, the ease of installation with these units means less downtime for your operations. Advancements such as a new piping discharge line, positioning of the oil injection port, and the displacement of the endplate on the side of the units all serve to provide simpler and easier access for maintenance.

Easily Adaptable

Universally-compatible connection points within the FVR semi-hermetic screw compressors line-up mean greater adaptability to your unique situation. These compressors can also be connected in parallel, even if there are different models present.

Improved Performance

By going back to the drawing board during the design phase, these FVR semi-hermetic screw compressors show a coefficient of performance (COP) that is fully 5% higher compared to previous models.

Space-Saving Dimensions

With a smaller footprint, these units are able to provide greater cooling capacity in a smaller package compared to other compressors on the market.

The unique screw profile present on the FVR semi-hermetic screw compressor makes for an extremely quiet compressor.

Better Risk Management

The wide range of ATEX-certified Frascold semi-hermetic screw compressors allows a simplified risk analysis to be performed for your project. This allows our experts to help tailor the perfect solution for a safe design through every project phase including construction, installation, and during operations. Compressors in the series are ATEX-certified for use in “Category 3” (Zone 2 - areas classified as potentially explosive) and “G” (also for use in a potentially explosive area due to gasses being present).
