Transition to a new discharge valve

Transition to a new discharge valve for D and Q sizes of the Transcritical CO2 Heavy Duty series.

We hereby inform you that, within the Transcritical CO2 Heavy Duty series, sizes D and Q are being updated with the introduction of a new one-piece discharge valve

This new design solution provides greater resistance to accidental impacts and operating vibrations, thanks to a more compact design and the adoption of innovative technical solutions for the assembly of the individual components, which have already been extensively validated on sizes S and Z of the series.

The diameter of the welding/brazing connection remains unchanged. However, the position of the stub relative to the terminal layout has been modified. We therefore recommend checking the updated dimensional drawings available in the Frascold Selection Software (FSS3) and on the Frascold website for further technical details.

If necessary, the previous discharge valve will remain available as a spare part until stocks are exhausted and will subsequently be replaced by an adapter kit

The solution is available for both UL certified compressor versions and non-UL versions, ensuring full applicability across the different target markets.
